Today, on the 13th Sunday of Luke, the Gospel lesson comes to us from Luke 18:18-27. Therein we hear about a young man who asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Upon hearing he must sell his possessions and follow Christ, he cannot and has the excuse of being rich. Father Gregory continues to speak on stewardship and challenges us not to make excuses for not giving. He uses the woman with the two mites as an example of overcoming excuses and giving back to God what is already His.
