This month, we’re featuring Journey to Reality: Sacramental Life in a Secular Age by Dr. Zachary Porcu. A new addition to our cathedral bookstore, this easy-to-read work explores the contrast between the secular worldview and the sacramental worldview.

In just 137 pages, Dr. Porcu covers a lot of ground and pinpoints some of our most deep-seated assumptions about the world. He uses many relatable examples and analogies to help the reader develop a sacramental mindset and encourage a truly Christian way of life. 

Dr. Porcu has a PhD in church history as well as degrees in philosophy, classics, and interdisciplinary humanities and writes with an informed but approachable style.
